HIV - Aids in the Workplace

This course has been developed to meet the needs of business and government organisations who desire to respond with compassion and understanding to HIV and AIDS challenges encountered in the workplace.

COURSE OUTLINE

This course explains and provides the multitude of ways in which HIV and AIDS education and training plays a vital role in its management. It is important for employees to know their status and education is therefore a key component that this course provides, and it is highly recommended as a minimum HID/AIDS intervention

Upon completion, and at the end of this training program, the attending candidate will be able to understand, and be capable to demonstrate, the suitable prevention methods for managing HIV and AIDS in the workplace in addition to the following:

  • Explain transmission routes

  • Explain practices which reduce & prevent risk infection

  • Reflect on attitudes towards HIV/AIDS

  • Describer and analyses beliefs and attitudes towards HIV & AIDS in the workplace

  • Outline the rights of people living with HIV/AIDS
